FC 27 coins explained: what you get and how ordering works
What FUT coins are
FUT coins are Ultimate Team's own money, the currency of the club-building mode in EA SPORTS FC. Matches, objectives and squad-building challenges pay them out; signing players on the transfer market, handing in SBC fodder and opening store packs eat them up. Your coin balance sets the pace of the whole season: the striker you spot on Monday is either starting for you by the weekend or still parked on your watch list.
One currency, plenty of nicknames
FIFA coins, futcoins, FC coins or plain FUT coins: type any of them and you reach the same balance. The coins kept their old names after the series dropped FIFA from the title and gained a couple more along the way, EA FC coins and FC 27 coins included. Our own name comes from the same word, so there's no guessing about what you're getting.
FUT coins vs FC Points
People confuse the two constantly, and they behave nothing alike:
| FUT coins | FC Points |
| How you get them | Playing matches, objectives, SBC rewards, trading | Paying real money to EA or a console store |
| What they get you | Market players, challenge fodder, some evolutions, store packs | Packs and drafts |
| Tradable between clubs? | Yes, only via trades on the market | No, they stay with the account that paid |
| Value set by | Supply and demand among players | EA |
Since FC Points only open packs, luck picks the player. Coins put you in charge: you search the market for one card and sign it. That control is the reason most players top up with coins rather than Points.
How buying works on Futcoin
Start in the calculator: choose your platform, enter an amount, and the dollar total appears beside it. The checkout button hands you over to our partner's secure storefront: Visa and Mastercard cards work there, and so do Apple Pay and Google Pay. Card details never pass through this site, so payment stays safe and separate from your EA account. Next comes the order page, where you leave your EA login with a set of EA backup codes or a one-time code. That's what makes it Comfort Trade. An agent from the delivery team opens the FC 27 Web App under your account, moves the coins across with ordinary trades and logs off. Expect 10–45 minutes for most orders and batches for the bigger ones.
Is buying FC 27 coins safe?
Straight answer first: EA's User Agreement bans swapping real money for coins, which means no seller can offer zero risk, and anyone who claims otherwise is selling a story. What EA's detection keys on is the way coins travel: a bronze card bought for a fortune, a balance that spikes and empties within minutes, a club logged in from two places at the same time. Our process avoids those signals on purpose. Coins move through ordinary transfer-market trades, large orders are broken into batches, and nobody else is inside your club while the agent works.
Once the coins are in, a short list is yours to follow:
- Keep the coins in the club they landed in; no passing them to a second account.
- Don't flip them back into cash.
- Spread big signings over several sessions rather than one spree.
- Set a new EA password the moment the order reads complete.
None of this is complicated. A fresh balance that gets spent the way normal players spend is the safe pattern, and it is the one EA expects to see.
What coins cost and when to buy
As of today, 100K goes for $9.23 on consoles and $8.31 on PC. Every coin costs the same whatever the order size, so a million is simply ten lots of 100K and nobody makes you hunt for bulk tiers. The figures follow our partner's live dollar rate, so the total here is the total at checkout, and the full rate table lists every pack.
Timing matters as well. New promos typically go live on Fridays at 1pm ET, which is 10am on the West Coast, and card values tend to shift as fresh packs flood the market. Thanksgiving week brings Black Friday Thunderstruck, so ordering a day or two early gets the coins into your club before those cards drop. And a word on the cheapest offer you can find online: it is not automatically the safe choice. A rate far below the rest often points to coins of murky origin or a delivery that dumps everything in one trade, which is precisely the pattern EA hunts for.
PlayStation, Xbox and PC
Clubs belong to a console family, so coins only work where your club lives. On PlayStation, the PS5 and PS4 run one shared club, which is why PlayStation coins cover both machines. Series X|S and One share a separate club, handled on the Xbox coins page. PC is its own world with its own market and rates, no matter which launcher starts the game; the details are on PC coins. Crossplay matches against other systems don't change any of this.
Earn them or buy them?
Every coin in your club can be earned by hand, and lots of players go that way. Rivals and Champions hand out weekly rewards, offline games against the AI pay a little too, objectives drop coins and packs, and trading, meaning buying low and selling higher after EA's tax, can grow a small balance for anyone with hours to spare. On a weeknight after work or class, most of us don't have them. Buying coins saves the hours, not the game: you still choose the players, sort out chemistry and play every match. Plenty of people do both, grinding Monday to Thursday and topping up before a Champions weekend.
Why players order from Futcoin
We built this site around US players: totals in dollars, the cards and wallets you already pay with, and a chat that answers whether you're on a lunch break in Chicago or up past midnight in LA. Delivery is by Comfort Trade on every platform, anywhere from 100K to 20M in one order, each order carries 72 hours of cover, and the coins arrive safely through ordinary trades. When you're set, enter your amount in the calculator and your coins start moving.
