FC 27 Promo Calendar: Confirmed & Expected Dates
Each Ultimate Team campaign EA has named for this season, plus the ones still expected from last year's pattern, with go-live times for US players. Use it to decide when to trade and when to top up your club.

You get OTW cards through objectives, SBCs and the Season Pass. A Player of the Month award, a Star Performer spot or a TOTW place each adds +1 OVR, so owners tend to hold rather than sell.

Confirmed: EA has named the promo on its FC 27 roadmap or in its news. Expected: EA hasn't put it on the roadmap, and the dates shown are based on FC 26. New campaigns usually start on a Friday at 6pm UK time, which is 1pm ET / 10am PT for most of the year and 2pm ET / 11am PT from October 25 to November 1.
What counts as a promo
Promos are themed campaigns. EA puts a batch of special cards into packs, objectives and SBCs, usually in weekly waves, and builds the season's rewards around the theme. Some campaigns upgrade their cards with real match results, some revisit past seasons, and some simply add stronger versions of current players. Either way, each one changes which cards people want and how many of them reach the market.
The table above tracks every campaign we know of for FC 27. Rows marked Confirmed come from EA itself. Rows marked Expected follow last year's pattern and get updated once EA names them.
The weekly and seasonal promo rhythm
Ultimate Team runs on two clocks. The short one is weekly: TOTW refreshes on Wednesday afternoon ET, and most new campaigns open on Friday. The long one is the season. Season 1 runs from September 17 to October 22, Season 2 starts on October 22, Season 4 on January 14 and Season 5 on February 25. Each season brings its own theme and its own promos.
A Friday release at 6pm UK time reaches the East Coast at 1pm, Central time at noon, Mountain time at 11am and the West Coast at 10am. Between October 25 and November 1 every one of those moves an hour later, because the UK leaves summer time a week before US clocks fall back. Either way the drop lands in the middle of a workday or school day, so many people open their packs that evening or over the weekend, when Champions matches pile up too.
How promos move card prices
Every campaign shifts supply and demand on the market. A few patterns repeat through the year:
- Before a big release, many players sell parts of their club to have coins ready, so prices often sag in the days leading up to it.
- On launch day, the new special cards are at their most expensive, and the flood of packs pushes many older cards lower.
- When SBCs go live, demand for the ratings they require can climb within hours.
- During quiet weeks, such as the Series weeks in December, the market tends to settle.
Why does that matter if you buy coins? The amount you pay for coins is set when you order, but the cards you plan to spend them on keep moving. The same balance can land a better squad on one day of the week than on another.
Planning a coin purchase around promo dates
Start with the card prices you care about, then line them up with the next row in the table. If you want a new special card on launch day, order ahead so your balance is topped up before packs open. Comfort Trade usually takes 10–45 minutes, and you stay out of Ultimate Team while it runs, so place the order that morning instead of at 12:55pm ET. The coin price page lists today's rate for each platform, the PS5 and PS4 coins, Xbox coins and PC coins pages cover each club, and the order calculator shows the total before you pay.
The Black Friday promo deserves its own plan. Thanksgiving falls on Thursday, November 26, and Thunderstruck is due around Friday, November 27, the start of a long weekend for many US players. If you'll be traveling or with family, sort out your coins earlier in the week and keep the holiday for opening packs.
